The 2013 Renter's Rebate Program Will Begin May 15, 2013
State law provides a reimbursement program for Connecticut renters who are elderly (65 or older as of December 31, 2012) or disabled (18 & older), and whose incomes do not exceed certain limits. Persons renting an apartment or room, living in cooperative housing, or a mobile home may be eligible for this program.
The amount is based on a graduated income scale and the amount of rent and utility payments made in the year prior to the calendar year in which the renter applies.
Applications may be made at the Human Services Department between May 15th and September 15th.
